New Wall Color

After seeing my walls in pictures the last few weeks, I decided they needed an update.

I consulted with LucyJane, David and my friend Mayron, and Sherwin Williams Brevity Brown was chosen.
It had been my intention to paint the walls myself, but when David offered, I couldn't hurt his feelings by saying no.

He is a professional cutter. No tape against those columns. Good hard concentration and proper brush placement is the key.

Here's the old red.

And here's the new brown. I like the change. It seems more warm and inviting. If anything, I wouldn't mind if it were darker. What do you think?

  3. I love your brown! Darker would make it cave-like and be too contrasting with the light brick.

    Lookin' good!

  4. Looks good! It's always nice to have a change. David is worth a zillion men if he's willing to paint for you. Great job David! Kudos to you.

  6. Love, love, love the brown! I have several rooms which are different shades of brown. I like dark, rich brown...just be careful not to get into shades of eggplant. Dark browns can be hershey chocolate brown or can take on the purplish tint.

You got a good man, there!

  8. You made a great color selection! But the color doesn't look as good in the pictures on my computer monitor as it does in person.

  9. Funny how that happens. Christmas comes, goes and then the itch to paint takes hold. I've been chomping at the bit to make a change. And both the red and the brown are two of my colours, present, past and future. Can't wait. It looks great!
