Old Rubber Stamps

Rubber stamps. Here is a wonderful find from my very own garage. I tried to sell it in a garage sale a couple years ago for $20. Crazy people missed their chance! So, now that I have found it again, I am trying to figure out what to do with it.
Y'all know I am not a project person. The first thought was throw 'em all in a jar and adore them. My second thought was to buy some heavier stock paper and make word cards. You know...like flashcards. Hmm...wonder if those would sell. Otherwise, I'll close the cute wooden case and slap a price on them for Primitiques. Not sure which way to go.

As a follow up to Mammo Madness (yesterday's post), I thought I'd let y'all know that I spoke with my doctor today. She was appalled by the things the tech said to me and with my permission (and yours), she is going to contact the tech's supervisor. No one should be subjected to that talk. It would be one thing if she were a friend messing around...but, in a professional setting, it was wrong. Amen.

Happy Evening!

  5. doesn't look like they are selling real well on ebay right now. sometimes they sell for over $20. I purchased a set for about that last year very similar to yours. I use the pointing hand on lots of my price tags in my booth. They would look good in a jar too.

  7. The stamp set is great. All those who do paper art would love them. Personally, I love the jar idea but I also collect letters that spell PEACE. Good luck! Jan

  8. I wouldn't rule out eBay with a minimum bid or reserve price. As you know, you have to follow an item all the way through bid closing to know the true prices things are selling for. It's not unusual for prices to quadruple in the last seconds of a bid closing. There are 81 pieces there, nothing apparently missing, plus the box. It would be an easy item to ship.

  9. Hi! Mindy, Love the stamps...I'd be happy to take them off your hands! Let me know.

Good for you girl! That lady has no business doing that for a living!

    Have a great day!

  10. Whew! Ok. So, it's good that I found the stamps, eh? I have had 5 ladies contact me, wanting to buy them. As of this very moment, I think I am going to try the word card idea. See if I can make and sell words made with the stamps. If that bombs, I will get back to you interested parties. Thanks! ~Mindy

  12. Hey, David! I bet I could use the stamps to write "Peace" on a card and Jan at Summer Sundays might want one! Maybe I could take custom orders. Ye of little faith. By the way, we both know I don't do "crafts" or "projects"...but, I'm hoping this will be quick and easy. ~Mindy

  14. David's on a role today!

I think those stamps are really cool. Your card idea doesn't sound so bad either. Crafting can be therapeutic.

  16. I had a set of old stamps like this when I taught at a parochial school. I wish I would have asked if I could take them when I left. I am sure they got thrown away.
