Belly Wisdom

Today, I share with you this droopy boobed wonder. Some years ago, I was looking through one of the many catalogues I seem to get without asking, and I saw this jewel. The price seemed a bit much, so I did a search and found that the artist actually sells her for less.
Look at her toothy grin. Her belly. Her boobs. She's human. And that, my friends, is why I like her.

The artist, Debbie Berrow, gives this card with the sculpture.

Here is the link if you'd like to check her out. Bell Pine Art Farm.

Yes. I know. She's not antique or junk. But, she has a good lesson, and I do believe that she is worth sharing.

Happy Day!

  2. It's flaky, but in a cute kind of way. And, while I don't think there's any connection whatsoever between a flabby belly and wisdom, I do appreciate the value of self-acceptance.

  3. Mindy, I just admit that when I first saw this picture, I thought I was at Cher's blog and not yours.

If I keep baking, I'm going to have to accept myself looking like that soon.

  4. Well at least I'm not there (like the figurine) yet. Thanks for the laugh.

  5. True words. Self acceptance is so difficult. I would like to say I am satisfied but I guess there isn't anything wrong with a little self improvement as long as we realize we will never be 21 again. (Unless we live in Hollywood and turn into plastic replicas of aliens.) Thanks for the cute post, Pam

  7. Pam, I think it's important to accept and go on. Going on can include change, no doubt. But, self-love is important in my book.

Debbie, I just laughed out loud. I, for a minute, thought I was in trouble!

  9. I liked the post...made me think of John 7:38 "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his BELLY shall flow rivers of living water." ...But Trash Talk takes the cake or should I say cookie...actually it might be from all those cookies she ate the reason she thinks it's her pic! LOL
