Junk Pumpkins

I posted these earlier, but wanted to be a part of Jen's party. I know they aren't pretty, exactly, but, they do have their own unique qualities. Enjoy!

Whew! The pumpkinfest was one fun party. I don't know that I can show you all of the creative junk pumpkins that were born. But, I'll show you a few.

Throughout the year, I collect hardwear, nails, screws, buttons, basic junk for this festivity. Everyone is always amazed, as am I, at what is created out of junk. I have some very imaginative friends and family!

This sure beats carving and dealing with seeds and innards goo. I want to see your pictures if you make one!

ps. If you surf around on my blog, there are a couple other postings with pics of past junk pumpkin parties.

  2. I'm laughin'! VERY creative. And clean. No mess or goo, like you said.

You've started something now, girl! There'll be junk pumpkins like yours in every storefront!

  3. Cher, I must give credit. I saw the Junk o'Lanterns in the October 2006 Country Home and then my Pumpkinfest was born. I just knew it "fit" me. ~Mindy

  6. Hey girl...I just spray mine with Walmart flat black and it sticks really well, then I rub cinnamon all over it to grunge it all up. Next time I go up to Sister's I'll take a picture of them for ya. Last year Barb painted them all silver, you can see them on an older post.

    Have fun playing!
