I love the lines and patina of these heavy metal diamonds. They have hung on walls indoors and out at my place. I don't know their original purpose. Did I mention they are heavy?
As you can see, the five of them currently call this flower bed their home. Y'all kicked major booty on suggestions for the coat rack. What should I do with these? ($10 each if you want to buy them and show me!)
Ok...already left home, so can't take a picture right now...but, Marcie, good idea!...maybe I could lay them tip to tip in the middle of my harvest table....Interesting centerpiece. Maybe on a burlap runner. hmmm....~Mindy
I can attest to the fact that they're heavy. I like Margo's idea, but those angles look like 30s and 60s to me. That would normally form a six-point star and I know you only have five of them. Not sure how it would look with five evenly spaced without the edges touching.
I like the centerpiece idea too, but I would put candles in the holes.
I would make a funky hat rack for above a door with them. Or even hang it vertically next to a door. Attach them to a board with a hook coming out the holes. The great part of this is that they could be mounted vertically or horizontally or really any way and be very interesting.
I am sorry that I didn't get to play with these things today...and I head out in the morning...don't be surprised to see a follow up next week when I get back. Thanks everyone! ~Mindy
Those are awesome! I'm going to stick to my lighting theme and say you could make sconces out of them. jojo
ReplyDeletePut them all together for a star
ReplyDeleteThe sconce idea is pretty cool...
ReplyDeleteThe star...yeah! uh huh...I dig it!
Thanks! What else?
These are wonderful! Sorry, nothing creative going through my head tonight but I'll be interested to see what you come up with!!
ReplyDeleteHow about a napkin holder at a table setting or a coaster for a nice goblet. Whatever you come up with they are really neat!

I'd paint them and use them grouped together as a piece of wall art.

I love those. They'd be cute on a wall with a cute dowel like a chair rung stuck in the hole and then a plant hung on the dowel.

ReplyDeleteI'm for the star. Or in a circle with a low trailing flower central.
