Progress
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions on my last post. Wow! You really had some great, functional, eye pleasing ideas. I look forward to shopping around and seeing what I can come up with based on your ideas.
In the meantime, I am still playing around with what is on the shelf. The balance isn't quite right yet.
You might remember the bare Christmas tree in the previous post. Well, let me show you a little sumpin' sumpin'.
The word "progress" comes to mind.
I've been shopping and I feel like Santa Claus. I have fresh merchandise to deliver in Poetry and in Athens. So, I'm headed out the door for Primitiques, then a quick stop in Canton at LaurieAnna's (She's having daily drawings, by the way. Check out her blog.) and then I'll be headed to Winnie & Tulula's. Maybe I'll bump into you somewhere along the route.
Happy Weekend!

Hey woman! I saw your previous post and didn't have time to comment, but I've been thinking about your fireplace "issue". Then, I see this post and LOVE what you've done - it looks great! I was thinking though if you run across some kind of tall grates or metal architectural pieces, (just leaned against your fireplace) that would look visually neat, yet cover up the heat ducts while them still being functional. Maybe someone already gave you the idea; I didn't read all your responses...?
ReplyDeleteDang, the potted branches are awesome! Take care, Andrea
Yay, your tree's not nekkid anymore! ;-)

LOVE those monster candlesticks! They are super cool. Things are looking wonderful and your tree is beautiful! I was kinda thinkin about a wooden bench under your fireplace opening. It would help make it look less "up in the air", and give some weight to the hearth. You might have to have David "custom" one for you. something primitive and simple, rustic, wood or peely paint. Just an idea. Have a great Sunday!
