Married Up

Sometimes, you just know it's right. Like peanut butter and jelly. Eggs and bacon. Jack and Coke. The joining together of two, making a delightful marriage.

Not long ago, I bought this nice little white/rusty piece with three shelves. I liked it. Had no plans for it, but I liked it! A couple weeks later, I stopped at a yard sale and eyeballed three oversized baskets. I had no plans for them, but I knew I liked 'em, so I snatched them up.

When I got home later, I eyeballed the rusty piece, grabbed the baskets, and Voila! A marriage made in my driveway! Fantastic, isn't it? I'm not sure, but this may go into my closet for shoes/hats/handbags. hmmmm

Married Up
Do you like it?

Happy Monday!

  7. Hey Mindy Girl... I am laughing at your mom's comment, can't stop giggling - it's not nice to mess with the mother.
Cute picture of you and David! But then you are as cute as a button.
Have a great week oh and I do love the baskets...

  8. That was NOT fair! A basket may need a marriage, but a girl needs mate. ;-)

  10. Don't you just love it when things come together so beautifully?

Glad you had a nice time in Vegas. I have not ventured there. It doesn't seem to me like it's my "style". Secretly, though, I've always thought it would be so fun to be a showgirl (not the topless kind, just the kind that wears those awesome feather headpieces) LOL

  14. I have no words... For a minute I was feeling all heartbroken and brokenhearted thinking all of my wedding plans had been for not - THEN I went through a , "darnit - she didn't even TELL me", then I was like... I can't BELIEVE she's going to put that in HER closet and not mine.

:-) Are they going to have lil' mini-baskets? Let's see... I'll start thinking up names now.

  16. Naughty. If you DO get hitched in Vegas, may I recommend the Rev. A.J. Tucker at the Chapel of Love? Now, just send that sweet rusty basket my way....

  17. I cannot tell you how much fun this post was for me! Nah, David and I did not get married in Vegas. I'm not preparing you for anything. Just playing! Thanks for leaving your comments. My own mother's comment might have been the funniest! ~Mindy

  18. Rack and Baskets are perfect together. Nope, you can't sell it...they are just too perfect...they're a keeper.

As for you and the man gettin' hitched...please people..she had a year-long party for her b/d. When the wedding happens it will be straight up as amazing as any royalty's nuptials. Mindy wouldn't miss the chance to make all of her bff's cry their eyes out AND all the wonderful presents we will buy because we are so overwhelmed with this union of love. I just don't see them slippin' off secretly to Vegas...I see a beautiful shin dig on the place, or a picture-perfect country church. Besides, I have a memory-making bachelorette party to plan. You two get married without a bunch of us witnessin' it and you're passing on a killer party. :) I'm just saying.

  19. You little stinker! My heart was just thrilled for you when I saw the headline, too! Then I thought, she doesn't seem like the "run off to Vegas and get married type" - glad you didn't - cause we all need to be invited to the bachelorette party and wedding! Yes, I am talkin' about your beloved fellow blogging buddies. We'll bring the wine!

Love the baskets and stand...I wouldn't sell that match made in heaven!

  21. Wow, I like the Chapel of Love idea...it worked great for Billy and I. Of course I have this cute shelf that could marry your baskets/shelf. If you know what I mean...you do have to pay the extra $100 for Elvis or is just not worth it
