Junk Pumpkins and Decorations

Believe it or not, somewhere between getting The Primitique ready for a Grand Opening this weekend and life, I recently celebrated a birthday and hosted The 5th Annual Pumpkinfest at my house.

We again enjoyed making Junk Pumpkins. Wanna see?

I provided bins of "junk" and the creating began.

Have you decorated for Halloween?

In the midst of utter chaos the last few weeks, I just didn't have time to get the regular decorations out. Instead, to decorate I used random items laying around my house.

Seriously.

Joy's teeth
This old urn happens to have my initial on it. I just scattered Grandma Joy's teeth around and it added one eerie element, don't you think?

My teeth
A bottle of teeth is creepy, isn't it? Yes. The Tooth Fairy saved all my teeth.

She can't say boo
I think this old, broken mannequin face is a little spooky.

And a well placed mannequin hand even gives this fella the heebie jeebies!

So, I know. Not your traditional Halloween decorations. But, they work!

Happy Monday!

  4. Your pumpkins are unbelievable! What a cool idea! You spent a lot of money on pumpkins too! :) However, the funeral urn with the dentures and the container full of teeth is freaking me out a little...no, a lot! Wonder whose ashes were in that urn? Are they still there? Yikes!

Love ALL of your pumpkins! Great job! Cathy got a couple done for our Hico show and they didn't last very long before they were gone...I just had my Gallbladder out last Thursday. If I knew your were collecting body parts for Halloween, I would have had them save mine and sent it to you to add to your collection....lol! Happy Halloween...Deidra...aka Girls Gone Junkin'

  16. Those pumpkins look like so much fun! I don't like to carve them so much either, so I just paint them usually, but adding this junk is very clever!
