Tugger Bear

I have no idea if I even remember how to blog.  We shall see.  If this goes well, I will just revive this old blog, keeping old posts and adding.

It might not be pretty.  We'll figure this out together.

So.

There's a dog at Our Turn.  Tugger Bear.  He showed up here 2 days before Christmas, 2025.  It's hard to imagine what happened to bring him here.

I wasn't looking for a dog, by the way.

According to the vet, he is 12-14 years old.  Has a docked tail.  Was neutered.  No chip.  He has known rules:  "Don't come in the house unless invited.  Don't eat until told to.  Don't jump.  Don't bark."  He has no issues with cats, kids, men or women.  His teeth and gums were in horrible, neglected condition.  He has now had dental attention.  4 teeth extracted.  Gums cleaned up.  He clearly eats better now with less pain.  Just eating wet foods, but his coat is looking so much healthier.  Also got groomed, which he was past due for.  Bless him.  His toenails needed attention, too.  His hips and joints hurt.  He is now on pain meds and glucosamine.  And he feels so much better!

I posted about him on several social media pages, on petboost and notified the closest vet.  No claimers.  And honestly, I'd have a problem returning him to someone at this point.  He's mine.

Yes.  I had his DNA tested.  Why not?  Well, this explains why he tries to herd me every time I stand up.  He's a herder!

As you can see I haven't blogged in years, so this is basically a test post and a little update on life at Our Turn.

Is anyone out there?
