Since I keep paper towels in my kitchen and each of my baths that would take care of most of these. ;)

I can also see using the three taller ones as holders for the word "JOY" for the holidays. Print on cardstock with a pretty font, slice the top and bottom just a bit and thread over the top of the pointed rods. You could use the same idea for the smaller ones. Placeholders maybe?

CandyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7831748294655796355.post-91593261858626322102008-11-17T10:53:00.000-06:002008-11-17T10:53:00.000-06:00I am surprised that no one has mentioned BOB who s...I am surprised that no one has mentioned BOB who seems to like sitting on all of your wood boxes. Glad you LOVE 'em!

WinaW, I am not sure what each stand originally was. 3 of them have thumb screws, like they are all missing something that went down into the top. From this examination, I can see that perhaps, an s-hook would fit in the hole, and I can hang something from it. hmmm I think I found you from FringeGirl. Love your writing!

By the way, Mom. I am not looking to sell any of these boxes. We are currently selling those rustic tin stars affixed to stands like these. A temporary affixing, maybe?

Thanks for coming by my place. I can only imagine how many linens fit inside that thing. Good luck with those stands. I used it as a toy box for many years and then it went to our lake estate to be used as a blanket box. The bottom one was Grandma Pinkey's and passed down to Grandma Riney who painted it (yuck). No telling what is under the paint. It is well over 100 years old and you can return it to me if you are planning to sell it. Then you can have it back in 10 or 20 years.
MomAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7831748294655796355.post-77796716970947887732008-11-16T13:38:00.000-06:002008-11-16T13:38:00.000-06:00Love the chests and the stands. You might also try magnetic clips and hang photos on them. They would be cute with a welcome message outdoors on the porch. Maybe holding a chalkboard so that you could change the message? Instead of a hook, you could weld a bar across so that it resembles a music stand or easel of some sort. You could use the taller ones to hang a towel over in the bathroom. I'm not sure how helpful my ideas are, but I sure love the stands!

AmyWhisperWood Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09927708285336828046noreply@blogger.com
